Your data, your applications and your identity, all portable and protected

Lime Access stores your operating system in a file that can be operated, managed and run anywhere, regardless of hardware host.

Lime Access launches automatically on any PC or laptop without accessing the hard drive.  It runs directly out of the RAM of the client computer.  It uses the computer’s physical resources without requiring any additional software.  It allows the user to work from any PC in an environment which is adapted to his needs and is secure.

For the end user the system becomes an environment of ‘Portable Personality’, allowing access to corporate networks with total mobility, security and portability,, regardless of location or physical device used.

From the standpoint of the host system the platform acts as a complete system of distributed virtualization, because whether it works on Linux or on Windows, we have a complete virtual operating system tailored to the needs of the host’s user.

Lime Access Client functions as a complete virtual environment which is safe and totally portable.  It can be configured by the host organization for its clients and distributed on  external memory devices.   The whole concept greatly facilitates  management and maintenance, possible migration, etc..

The working environment generated by Lime Access Client is always encrypted.  The introduction of a password during the boot allows decryption and access to the operating system, as well as to the environmental data.  The procedure also allows a remote wipe,  so security is twofold.

Lime Access can be used to synchronize two virtual machines on the server and the external memory. The virtualisation of the workplace is accessible both locally and remotely.

Working Modes

OnLine. Lime Access Clients can include applications (eg, a Citrix client) that require a permanent connection.

This communications software is included to facilitate and secure this way of working.

Offline. Lime Access Client is self-contained, i.e. it includes all the software necessary for its full operation, either sporadically or continuously, allowing work on a computer without connecting.

Mixed. Lime Access Client normally works in an online environment of synchronization,  but it can continue working with internal tools under any loss of connectivity.

The concept also extends to a mixed virtualization. The user can work on the virtual machine installed on the Lime Access Client (in a distributed environment),  but he can also work on a centralized virtual machine. The platform is ready to synchronize the two virtual machines, so the user can work interchangeably on the one or  the other.
